Railway line No. 65 (also known as "broad track")

The longest broad-gauge line (track gauge - 1520 mm) in Poland is intended for the transport of goods. It links the Polish - Ukrainian crossing border in Hrubieszów and Izow with Silesia and ends in Sławków in Dąbrowski Basin (Zagłębie Dąbrowskie), 25 km from Katowice. Its length amounts almost 400 km. The line has a specific regional coverage (runs through 5 provinces: Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie, Małopolskie i Silesia). The LHS line is used solely by its administrator - PKP LHS sp. z o.o., which is headquartered in Zamość.
